Review: Scavenger Hunt, Carousel and DWNTWN at The Satellite

Short link
A few weeks ago just before GRAMMY Week started for me, I was able to catch three upcoming indie electro pop acts in DWNTWNCarousel and Scavenger Hunt. Read more for my brief review of their performances at The Satellite in January. First came on Scavenger Hunt, a band I've been following for the last few months as they are new on the local scene but have an electro pop sound thats infectious. When I was them live, they reminded me of Haim, Madi Diaz and CHVRCHES. It's a fun pop sound that has influences from the dance pop ladies of the 80's and 90's like Cyndi Lauper and Madonna come to mind. I highly recommend seeing them live and can't wait to hear more new music from Scavenger Hunt as they are definitely an act that will have a local residency in LA followed by touring. Stream "Dreamers" and "Lost", my two favorites from them that they have released online. Like them on facebook too! Next are two acts I've seen plenty of times and who deserve way more attention they've been getting. I've been to so many of their shows and consistently have seen great performances so below I'll let you stream my new favorites from each of them.
